Your eight-session roadmap
Explore the content, exam skills and preparation for each cohort. Live sessions combine worked examples, timed questions and review. Students receive a Google Meet link and access to Google Classroom for materials, recordings and questions.
Exam intense masterclass
Paper 1 theory and Paper 2 problem-solving and programming skills. Sessions run from 25 September to 7 October 2026, ahead of Paper 1 on 9 October, as confirmed by the course organiser. Check your Paper 2 date and all exam arrangements with your exam centre.
Number bases, two’s complement, binary arithmetic and overflow; image and sound file sizes; compression choices; logic expressions, circuits and truth tables.
Exam skill: Show a valid calculation method with units, preserve bit width, identify overflow and translate bracketed logic accurately.
Review binary place values, hexadecimal digits, bits versus bytes, image resolution, sample rate and basic gate symbols. Attempt four conversions and a four-row truth table. Allow 25 minutes.
Fetch–execute cycle and register transfers; immediate versus direct addressing and assembly tracing; applied network, operating-system and security explanations.
Exam skill: Distinguish addresses from contents and write an explanation that names the mechanism and its effect in the given situation.
Know the roles of PC, MAR, MDR, CIR and ACC, RAM versus ROM, client/server devices, basic OS functions and common security measures. Label a fetch-cycle diagram and bring one unclear theory answer. Allow 25 minutes.
Keys, relationships and normalisation; SQL queries, aggregates and joins; DDL versus DML; a brief ethics/licensing answer clinic and Paper 1 timing.
Exam skill: Plan relational tables, keep identifiers consistent, choose the right SQL operation and make distinct contextual points under time pressure.
Review primary/foreign/composite keys, relationships, 1NF–3NF and SELECT–FROM–WHERE. Read the supplied ethics, software licensing and AI-impact summary. Attempt one simple query. Allow 30 minutes.
Extracting requirements; abstraction and decomposition; identifiers and data types; selection, loops and Boolean conditions; flowchart-to-pseudocode conversion and tracing.
Exam skill: Turn a requirement into a clear algorithm with initialisation, correct loop boundaries and all required outputs.
Review declarations, assignment, IF/CASE, FOR/WHILE/REPEAT and DIV/MOD. Be able to follow a short loop and distinguish a string literal from a variable. Attempt the supplied trace. Allow 20 minutes.
1D/2D array traversal; totals, counts and extrema; linear search with a not-found case; bubble-sort passes and safe bounds.
Exam skill: Use correct indices and bounds, reset accumulators in the right place, and handle missing data or a not-found result.
Know how to declare and index 1D/2D arrays and follow nested loops. Review linear search and bubble sort; trace one search and one sorting pass on the supplied short lists. Allow 30 minutes.
Procedures/functions and interfaces; BYVAL/BYREF and scope; record fields; string functions and type conversion; structure charts and modular design.
Exam skill: Write a subroutine matching its required interface and return type, use parameters correctly and process records/strings safely.
Review procedure/function headers, parameters and return values. Know how record fields are accessed and how to read the insert entries for string functions. Trace one short function call. Allow 25 minutes.
READ/WRITE/APPEND modes, EOF loops and file processing; stacks, queues and linked lists using diagrams, operations and array representations.
Exam skill: Process a file without losing existing content or reading past EOF, and update an ADT diagram with correct data and pointers.
Review text-file commands and EOF. Know stack versus queue order, the role of head/front/top pointers and how a linked-list next pointer is followed. Annotate one supplied diagram. Allow 25 minutes.
Test plans and expected results; error diagnosis and maintenance; lifecycle/model choices and state-transition diagrams in a rapid review; an integrated timed algorithm task.
Exam skill: Test an algorithm at its boundaries, secure credit for valid parts of a solution and leave with an evidence-based revision plan.
Review testing methods, normal/abnormal/boundary data and expected results; waterfall/iterative/RAD, maintenance types and state-transition diagrams. Bring your corrected work and error log. Allow 30 minutes.
Exam intense masterclass
Unit 2: Managing Business Activities · Exam: Wednesday 14 October 2026. The paper lasts two hours and carries 80 marks, including a 20-mark essay.
Practise accurate calculations, use case evidence to develop cause-and-effect arguments, and weigh alternatives to reach a justified conclusion. Revise relevant Unit 1 concepts too, because questions can draw on that knowledge.
Business plans, ownership, liability and internal/external finance.
Exam skill: Select evidence from a case and explain why a funding choice fits its needs.
Revise sources of finance and limited liability. Bring one funding decision to discuss.
Revenue, costs, contribution, break-even, margin of safety and forecasts.
Exam skill: Show workings and units, then explain what a result means for the decision.
Practise percentage changes and contribution calculations.
Cash-flow forecasts, budgets and favourable/adverse variances.
Exam skill: Interpret a cash shortfall and evaluate a practical response using the evidence.
Review inflows, outflows and opening/closing balances.
Profit margins, liquidity ratios, working capital and causes of failure.
Exam skill: Distinguish cash from profit and use ratios to support a contextual judgement.
Review statements of income and financial position; bring a calculator.
Production methods, productivity, efficiency and capacity utilisation.
Exam skill: Build a cause-and-effect argument and assess the trade-offs of an operations choice.
Revise production methods and capacity utilisation.
Inventory diagrams, JIT, lean production and quality management.
Exam skill: Compare options using costs, reliability and customer needs from the case.
Review buffer stock, JIT and quality control versus assurance.
Economic change, legislation and competition.
Exam skill: Develop both sides of an argument and explain which factor matters most in this business.
Revise exchange rates, interest rates and business responses.
Integrated Unit 2 revision and a timed extended response.
Exam skill: Plan a 20-mark answer, weigh competing arguments and justify a final decision.

Computer Science is for Cambridge AS 9618 students preparing for Papers 1 and 2. Business is for Pearson Edexcel WBS12/01 Unit 2 students. Both are focused exam revision courses for students who have already studied the topics. Enquire before signing up if you have substantial gaps.
Both cohorts start on Friday 25 September 2026. Computer Science starts at 4:30pm and Business at 5:45pm UAE time. See the full timetable for the remaining dates and varied start times. Business weekend lessons begin at 10am; its final session is Sunday 11 October.
AED 750 per student per subject covers eight 60-minute live online group sessions, exam practice, worked answers, materials and recordings in Google Classroom. Each subject is a separate enrolment.
Lessons run live on Google Meet. Students receive a joining link and are added to Google Classroom for materials, recordings and questions. Bring paper, a pen and, for Business, a calculator.

Yes. Computer Science one-to-one tuition is available by enquiry, from AED 350 per hour for GCSE or IGCSE and AED 400 per hour for A Level, subject to suitability and availability.
